Mehnaaz Karim

I graduated with a B. Communication Pathology: Speech Language and Audiology degree in 2006 at the University of Pretoria.

In 2023 I graduated with a MSc: Med: Child Health degree focusing on neurodevelopment.

I have a special interest in the feeding and communication abilities of children with neurological and developmental impairments.

When I am not at my practice I am involved in the continuing education of qualified therapists throughout the country. I am part of a wonderful team of therapists who are passionate about working with children with Cerebral Palsy. Together, we run a 5 day course on the assessment and management of children with CP. The aim is to equip therapists with the necessary knowledge and skill to be able to identify and manage the different types of CP, especially in lower resourced areas, and to empower and assist families with improving the quality of life of their child and their families.
